Scent Bucket (scented hand-crafted candles)

SOMETIMES THE INTERNET IS NOT SUCH A BAD PLACE

A true Gen-Z story: on graduation day, 22-year old software engineer and content creator Tshegofatso Isaac launched Scent Bucket.

She tweeted an appeal for people to share – and they did, 2000+ retweets and 7 000 likes
strong.

“I get to express my creativity.”

EXPLORING HER LOVE OF CANDLES

At 14-years-old, shy and reserved, her first outlet was the internet: starting a YouTube
channel and learning coding.

Tshego mastered these things, worked hard, and embraced her curious and confident
nature, “Candles are the best gift […] I get to express my creativity […] Every time I look at
my candles I [think] ‘Wow, I did that!’”

The Pretoria native loves community, “I’d like my family to become even more involved as
the business grows.”

“Scent bucket” comes from the idea to experiment with ingredients by ‘throwing’ them into
a bucket – and she is always transparent. “I am honest and trustworthy, [especially since]
customers cannot smell the scents until after their online order.”
